Rêvons en français - Since early March 2009, the francophone community of Thunder Bay and north western Ontario has met extensively with our consultants to determine the feasibility and the viability of a new community centre. Many possibilities have been studied and some interesting developments are being explored with several partners. It is now important to share this information with all stakeholders and persons implicated with the francophone community in Thunder Bay and in the region.
Our dream is taking form! A second community meeting will be held to follow up the discussions of last March. All interested persons will have the opportunity to take note of the progress of the proposed feasibility study and business plan. We are launching an invitation to the Francophone population to attend a presentation and discussion which will be conducted by Mr. Ronald Bisson, president of the firm Ronald Bisson & Associates of Ottawa.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of l’école secondaire catholique de la Vérendrye, 175 North High Street. Free babysitting service will be available.

Rêvons en français!
The francophone community is uniting to actively participate in a feasibility study for the development of a new Community Centre in Thunder Bay. The study consists of a needs assessment, a research of possible locations and associated costs, as well as a business and long term viability plan. Funding agencies for the first phase of this project include FedNor and the National Francophone Economic Development Network (RDÉE).
Given that collaboration and sharing of resources is the best way to serve and support Francophones and Francophiles in Thunder Bay and the region, the option of a new Community Centre would greatly facilitate the development and delivery of new French language services, programs and activities.
It is time to make dreams happen! A new Francophone Community Centre would be an invaluable resource where French speaking individuals and families could access a variety of essential services in French and could come together to celebrate their heritage, language and culture!
We are launching an invitation to the Francophone population of Thunder Bay to attend a community meeting which will take place on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of l’École secondaire catholique de La Vérendrye, 175 North High StreetOttawa firm Ronald Bisson and Associates. and will be facilitated by Ronald Bisson, consultant with the.
